I am a PhD (Cum Laude) in the Environment by the University of Girona (UdG) and MSc (Summa Cum Laude) by the International Programme in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea) – Aquatic Food Production. Currently, I am a permanent scientist at the French Agricultural Research Center for International Development (CIRAD), in the search of potential candidates for aquaculture purposes and the reproductive optimization of fish species. My recent research activity involved fish reproduction and body condition and their variability associated with population differences. Specifically, I conducted my PhD in the analysis of the variability in the health status and reproductive traits of European sardine stocks in the Mediterranean and their implications for fishery management.
My background is in fish reproductive physiology and genomics. Previous research that I carried out is related to the reproductive study of rare fish species in an area as a method of predicting their settlement in a scenario of global warming. Moreover, I have worked in the study of immune system-reproductive system interactions in zebrafish model species, with the focus on epigenetic mechanisms.
